Tim enjoys offering the full scope of primary eye care and has particular interests in ocular pathology, dry eye, Diabetes and nuero-optometry. He is therapeutically endorsed optometrist and has a strong history of working with local GP, Ophthalmologists and aged care providers.
Tim also enjoys being involved in optometry profession advocacy, and has extensive experience on state and national based boards. He has held positions on state and national Optometry Australia boards (President and Deputy Chair respectively), was part of the inaugural allied health advisory committee to the Tasmanian Primary Health Network (formerly Medicare Local) and the Optometry Australia Rural Optometry Group. Tim also spent time on the board of the Australian College of Optometry, which is a not for profit provider whose mission is improving the eye health and wellbeing of Australians through quality, affordable eye care, world class research and education. His volunteer board positions include chair of the Penguin District School Association committee, Vice President of the Penguin Surf Lifesaving Club (and Coach of the U8&9 groups), and the Penguin Football Club Junior committee. Tim’s 3 boys keep him busy and the family love getting away to their shack on the West Coast of Tasmania. Tim completed a Graduate Certificate Course in Clinical Redesign through UTAS, which looks at how we can improve the patient experience and outcomes in our health system.
