Jade Gilmore graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1997 with a Bachelor of Optometry. In her third year she made the Dean’s Honour’s List for excellence in academic achievement. In 2002 she completed her examinations at City University in London and is a member of the College of Optometrists. Jade has more recently completed a Graduate Certificate of Ocular Therapeutics at the University of New South Wales.
Jade has been fortunate in her career to work alongside world renowned ophthalmologists in Melbourne, the U.K. and the Netherlands, where she developed a keen interest in refractive surgery and dry eye.
Jade discovered the beautiful state of Tasmania in 2008 and returned to Hobart in 2012 to join the Eyelines Optometry team in Glenorchy. Throughout her time at Eyelines, she has taken a thorough and proactive approach to looking after the eye care needs of the community and
through strong relationships with local ophthalmologists, has a developed a particular interest in the early diagnosis of ocular pathology.
In her spare time, Jade enjoys walking nature trails, family time at the beach, being a soccer mum and the lively cafe culture in Hobart.
