Hana Jurkovic – Optometrists
After having completed her Bachelor of Vision Science and Master of Optometry degree and gained optometry experience in regional Victoria and Hobart Hana has moved back to the North West Coast where she was born and raised.
Hana prides herself on general optometry, helping patients with a full scope of eye care needs and is particularly dedicated to preventative eyecare including slowing myopia/ shortsightedness progression in children and diagnosing and managing eye conditions such as dry eye, macula degeneration, glaucoma and issues associated with diabetes in collaboration with GPs and Ophthalmologists.
As well as her clinical work, Hana serves on the Optometry Board of Tasmania and advocates for accessible eyecare especially for children with myopia/ shortsightedness. Hana also mentors optometry students in their final year of university, sharing her passion for her job.
Hana has a young family and enjoys being back home on the Coast in particular exploring our National parks and beaches.
